Orange Retail Awards Bristol

Orange BristolOn Tuesday 2nd February, Nigel Peirce played at the Orange Retail Awards at the Passenger Shed in Bristol. The theme for the evening was "Strictly Retail" and Nigel found himself sharing a stage with Anton Du Bec.

A lively bunch of 600 store managers enjoyed watching 12 of their colleagues dance with a professional dancer they had only a weeks training with.

The event was production managed by Ben Van Gruten complete with Megaphone and sense of humour. The technical was supplied by Technical Hire of Bristol, this included a 12K sound-system with a 6K Sub-Woofer directly behind Nigels head, after a few hours of playing, his head felt like cotton wool which was a disadvantage when it came to negotiating his fee for the later finish time due to everyone having such a good time!

Daisy Lowe 21st Birthday Party

Daisy Lowe PartyWe were delighted to be asked by Red Bull to supply all the sound & lighting for current IT girl and Supermodel Daisy Lowe's 21st Birthday party at Babington House.

For us, this involved installing 2 DJ rigs & sound systems in the Bar & Orangery. One of them in the Red Bull DJ box (which weighs 150kgs!!) We also supplied radio mics for the band of traveling mistrals that performed throughout the dinner.

The lighting we installed included our own LED Architectural Colour Wash lighting and a number of theatre lights projecting tree and water effects to create the "Enchanted and mythical wonder" which was the theme for the evening.

After we finished the installation we watched what was going on which was very interesting however, our discretion keeps us from revealing all!

You can see Daisy playing on our DJ equipmennt.

New Years Eve 2009

New Years Eve was a busy time for us with DJ's performing across the South and West. Nigel Peirce played at his usual residency at Babington House with a few celebs in the crowd it was a great night - or, early morning! Ryan Sanders took to the decks at Harvey Nichols in Bristol, clearing his equipment at the end of the night, he was ushered through the lingerie department with a security guard - that was a new one for him! Henry Greenwood entertained the private diners at the Chapel in Bruton, whilst one of our other DJs entertained the young crowd in Walton on Thames that danced non-stop from 8pm - 2am - there must have been something in the water! Wink
